Brighton Kitchen Remodel

In addition to photographing thousands of homes a year for Michigan’s real estate market, we are also fortunate to work with some really inspiring designers and builders. One of those clients is Sharer Design Group, and I thought I’d share this amazing kitchen remodel they did last year in Brighton.

One of the standout details to me in this kitchen is the expansive island that offers a large counter-height work surface for meal prepping, as well as a bar height seating area for quick meals or a casual gathering. There’s also a prep sink and a built-in appliance nook that keeps the microwave in easy reach while minimizing visual clutter.

I always like when the windows hung over sinks are positioned low to the counter - why not maximize every bit of natural light you can, right?

One thing that’s refreshing when we are doing interiors shoots is that we have time to capture all the details!

The finishing here is just beautiful - choosing to wrap the bar area in tile gives the island some additional character and adds a modern touch.

Of course, when it comes to planning a kitchen renovation, function is crucial. It’s important that the space doesn’t just look great, it’s got to work for your lifestyle. That’s why I’m such a fan of Sharer Designs because they always have the coolest features built-in to make organization effortless. These pull out pantry drawers allow you to see everything instantly so you can easily grab what you need, and the integrated wine rack keeps things nice and streamlined. Last week while I was cooking, I was trying frantically to locate a certain spice and knocked a jar onto my counter - where it smashed my french press carafe. I need pull out drawers like this in my life!
